AiR Pécsbagota is based in a village with 30 houses and 100 inhabitants.
The AiR artists can work in complete freedom on their projects.
We look for proposals with a special kind of view on the given situation or artists that can create surprising images.
We maintain good contacts with the University of Pécs: Faculty of Fine Arts and Music and the local artists and art organizations
Location
Pécsbagota is located in the South-West of Hungary, province Baranya in a rural agricultural area on a small river and vineyards in the surrounding hills. The borders of Serbia and Croatia are nearby and formed by two big rivers the Drava and the Danube. The university city of Pécs with numerous museums and festivities at 25km. away. There is a good bus connection with Pécs and out of the 10km. further situated Szentlörinc is a direct train connection to Budapest.
In the nearby lakes of Orfű you can swim or you can use the many spas in the area.
